PHI Pharmacy currently has four locations. The first location opened on July 29th, 1996 at the Commonwealth Health Center, the only hospital on the main island of Saipan. The second location opened on July 29, 2004 in the Joeten Shopping Center in Dandan. Our third location opened in April of 2007 at the Marina Heights professional building in Puerto Rico.  The fourth location is schedule to open before the end of 2009 at Kagman, where a complete medical facility is being built.

Description of Services

Complete retail pharmacy service with a wide range of over the counter medications. Professional Pharmacist counseling when dispensing medications. The main location is located in the only acute hospital on the island of Saipan so contact with physicians is on going and discharge patient medications are dispensed. PHI Pharmacy has Diabetes Shoppes located at the Dandan Pharmacy and at the Puerto Rico Pharmacy allowing Pharmacists to have direct patient care. Special care products are ordered working with the physical therapy department at the hospital and nutritional products are dispensed working with dieticians and physicians. Light durable medical equipment is dispensed and PHI Pharmacy works with all the homecare agencies on the island. All pharmacies operate using one server data base so patients have the option of filling their prescriptions at any location with professional continuity of care.

Community Information

Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) is a commonwealth of the United States. Under the Covenant that established the political affiliation with the U.S., the CNMI has been able to maintain control over its own customs and immigration. We pay taxes to the CNMI government at a much lower rate than the US. (The maximum tax bracket here is 9%). Social Security and Medicare taxes are withheld and paid to the US at the normal rate.

The CNMI is under the jurisdiction of the US Postal Service so mail costs are the same as stateside. Just a couple of years ago, the CNMI was connected to the US telephone numbering system and we now have access to free 800 numbers and are able to direct dial to the mainland. We do have a very active Internet hookup with several different ISP’s on island.
