Schedule: Pharmacy is open 7:30am - 8:00pm Monday - Thursday, 8:00am - 6:00pm Friday, and 8:00am - noon on Sat.

Job Summary:

This Pharmacy Tech will cover multiple facilities within our Community Health Division in both outpatient retail and our anticoag clinics. Provides technical and clerical assistance to the pharmacist in the processing of medication orders and the monitoring of drug therapy. May procure, measure, compound, count, and deliver medications under the supervision of a pharmacist. The Pharmacy Technician- OutPt Discharge Specialist is also responsible for assisting the discharge pharmacists in the daily activities to drive and increase discharge capture for the retail pharmacies by visiting patients as they prepare to be released from the hospital. Functions within the guidelines of Chapter 7 of the Wisconsin Statutes and Administrative Code - Pharmacy Examining Board - Pharmacy Practice Sections. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Two years of experience as a pharmacy technician is required.

High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program or previous experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred.

Certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board is required within 3 months of hire.

American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
