This pharmacist serves as a Pharmacy Program Manager for the Academic Detailing program. The incumbent holds a position of high visibility and represents the San Francisco Medical Center and VISN-wide efforts to improve medical care. As such, the incumbent must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The incumbent will consult with VISN and PBM staff to help initiate, develop, validate and execute projects. The incumbent will be expected to exercise initiative and to collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative staff at VISN stations and community-based outpatient clinics to meet performance goals and support quality patient care activities. The incumbent will have knowledge of and will apply marketing techniques in promotion of practice guidelines and other health initiatives. The incumbent will perform data analysis and manipulation to measure performance and to trend changes. As such, the position requires computer expertise, particularly in the area of database programs and data analysis. The incumbent will assist with the pull through of specific goals and a vision for the program and will assist with future program development. Additionally, this pharmacist may work under a scope of practice providing direct patient care up to 25% of the time. Work Schedule:8:00 am to 4:30 pm|
