Job Summary:
Manages the daily operations of the Clinical Pharmacy to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives. Executes all tasks and behaves in a manner consistent with a culture of safety and a high reliability organization; behavior supports the organization's core commitments of Integrity, Service, Respect, Teamwork, Excellence, and Innovation.
Job Responsibilities:
Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization. Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements. Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies. Assesses the quality of services delivered and coordinates patient care services with staff, physicians, and other departments. Performs the duties of a Pharmacist when necessary. Creates and maintains a work environment that is aligned with the organization's goals and strategies, demonstrating a unified voice and consistent message from leadership; actively supports all organizational policies and procedures in communications and interactions with staff. Communicates and implements change in a positive and effective manner.
Education:
Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy.
 
Licensure/Certification:
Licensed as a Pharmacist (R.Ph) in the state of Kentucky. Certified as a Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider preferred.
 
Required Work Experience:
Five years experience in a related field required.
