Duties and Responsibilities: The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist - Pharmacoinformaticist performs analytical and evaluative work associated with direct and indirect patient care and service-related outcome data. The incumbent organizes and develops clinically-realted information to provide a foundation by which medical center leadership and health care providers can make effective data-driven decisions to deliver optimal patient care.
The incumbent will work with multidisciplinary informatics team and provide specialized support to help plan, organize, develop, maintain, direct and market the analysis and delivery of clinical data and data utilization plans to end users within the medical center.
The position organizationally functions under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager, Analytics and Population Health (within the analytics Section of Clinical Informatics), while professional reporting under indirect matrix of the Chief of Pharmacy.
Work Schedule:Regular business hours are expected with option for compressed work week. Off tour or holiday/weekend hours may be required.
Duty Location: Position will be located at the Phoenix VA Medical Center with periodic travel to our CBOC locations

Citizenship - Citizen of the United States
Education - Graduate of an Acreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited College or School of Pharmacy with a baccalaureate degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharmacy) and/or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree.
License - Full, current, unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in a State, Territory, Commonwealth of the Unites States, or the District of Columbia.

Preferred candidates will possess demonstrated skill in the use of analytic assessment tools and databaseskills, including data mining, dataanalysis, data interpretation, data reporting, and SQL code.

GRADE DETERMINATIONS: Your salary and grade will be determined by the Professional Standards Board (PSB). The PSB is a peer review process. The PSB will review your individual qualifications, education, professional training/internship(s) and professional experience to determine the most appropriate salary and grade based on your individual accomplishments.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE FOR GS-13 LEVEL: Experience in designing, implementing, assessing, monitoring and documenting therapeutic plans utilizing the most effective, least toxic and most economical medication treatments; helping achieve positive patient centric outcomes through direct and indirect interactions with patients, providers, and interdisciplinary teams in assigned areas.
