Dameron Hospital (Inpatient)

Stockton, CA


This position is scheduled rotating day, evening and weekend shifts, with some on-call.  There may be occasional overnight shifts required, based upon business coverage needs.  Competitive pay rate + shift differential + on-call pay. 


Dameron Hospital is a fully accredited, 202-bed community hospital offering a broad range of medical, surgical and health maintenance services for emergency and acute care.  Both not-for-profit and non-sectarian, the hospital's sole commitment is to serve the healthcare needs of the community of Stockton. 


Recent automation upgrades have given the Dameron Hospital Pharmacy a high level of technology support and substantially increased overall pharmacy efficiency. Pharmacy staff work rotating shifts in fast paced, multifaceted environment with a cohesive team atmosphere. The Pharmacy team work together toward a shared mission of providing the best support for physicians and nurses so that they may provide the best care for patients. 


The inpatient pharmacy is managed by Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS).  All pharmacy employees are CPS employees.


Description:  As a Staff Pharmacist at Dameron Hospital you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director or his/her designee about the daily activities of the pharmacy and aid in maintaining the Pharmacy, including other duties as assigned. 


Required Qualifications: To be considered, you must have:

  • A California Pharmacist license in good standing

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Pharmacist in a hospital setting.  Experience must be current or within past 3 years.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill
