PRN - Pharmacy Technician

This is an "as needed" position for coverage and will work at least one weekend a month.
Pharmacy hours at Monday-Friday 8am-9pm. Weekends and holidays 8am-4:30pm.
Description: You’ll assist in various pharmacy activities, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, and other duties not requiring the review of a pharmacist. The majority of tasks and responsibilities are related to preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications. Other duties include maintaining patient records, and setting up, packaging, and labeling of medication doses and billing. You will perform job duties under minimal supervision within pharmacy standards, written procedures and guidelines, and state regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for the accurate completion of daily activities and the follow through of tasks to ensure completion.
• HS Diploma or GED required
• 3+ years pharmacy technician experience in a hospital
• Certified pharmacy technician with NY licensure
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
