Per Diem Pharmacy Technician
Description: You will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing; and auditing patient records. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements. This position works on an "as needed" basis to cover day or evening shifts during the week and on weekends.
St. Luke’s The Woodlands Hospital, a member of the St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System, is a state-of-the art 184 bed hospital that provides comprehensive services to the community of the Woodlands and surrounding areas. Services include an emergency department, newborn and infant nurseries, diagnostic imaging services, labor and delivery, and more.
The Pharmacy is open 24/7 and has an integrated centralized/decentralized model with pharmacists on the floor in some units. The Pharmacy Staff is highly regarded within the hospital and healthcare community. A member of the Pharmacy Staff recently received an award from The Texas Society of Critical Care Medicine for outstanding multidisciplinary scholarly research..
Management of the pharmacy is outsourced to CPS and all Pharmacy staff are CPS employees.
