SSM Health Rehabilitation in Bridgeton is looking for a Per Diem Pharmacy Technician to join our team!

As the leading provider of comprehensive rehabilitation services in the St. Louis area, SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital delivers the specialized care and advanced treatment that enables individuals with stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, neurological disorders, amputation, joint replacement and other orthopedic trauma, and general medical rehabilitation needs, to rebuild their lives.

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital's three inpatient rehabilitation units are located within acute care hospitals (SSM Health St. Mary's Health Center in St. Louis, and SSM Health St. Joseph West lcoated in Lake St. Louis) or operate as a stand-alone hospital (the 60-bed SSM Health Bridgeton Hospital in Bridgeton). This wide footprint in the greater St. Louis area provides patients with convenient, on-site access to very specialized medical care during their rehabilitative stay.

Under direct supervision, assists pharmacist in providing medications to patients and performs routine duties in hospital pharmacy.

Responsibilities

Fills medication carts under direct supervision of a pharmacist.

Prepares IV piggyback medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.

Orders, unpacks and stores supplies, verifies items received against invoices and stores perishables in refrigerators.

Delivers supplies and medications to various departments as needed.

Fills floor stock requests.

Produces labels via computer for requested medications.

Compiles outdated medications through monthly inspection of Pharmacy, and returns to appropriate vendor.

Performs Quality Improvement activities as directed.

Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required.

One to two yearu2019s experience as a Hospital Pharmacy Technician preferred.

Current State Board of Pharmacy Registration Certificate as a Pharmacy Technician required.

Current certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board preferred.
