Job Description Summary
Job Title: Sr. Sales Consultant, Life Sciences

Territory: Nationwide

Field based position - can be located in any major city; travel 40-50%

This role has primary responsibility for all business development and sales activity required in support of delivering innovative and high-impact solutions to Life Science customers; including but not limited to: pharmaceutical, diagnostic, and medical device companies. The candidate will work as a sales leader and business development consultant to lead a wide range of assignments focused on supporting the full life cycle of client engagements from lead development through contract execution and ongoing relationship management. The role will identify individuals within pharmaceutical and life science companies (e.g. marketing, market research, outcomes research) that are in need of market research reporting, clinical outcomes studies, and other clinical data driven solutions that will lead to profitable Life Sciences partnerships.

Job Description
  • Engage/prospect with Life Sciences clients across Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Medical Device and Diagnostic companies
  • Employ consultative selling approach with customers in order to identify research categories and data driven solutions such as pathogen specific trends and prevalence, patient population based analysis, and population based clinical and financial outcomes analyses  
  • Lead the sales process within customer accounts: business planning, discovery, opportunity development, strategy and assessment, proposal creation and contract execution.
  • Leverage customer leads and rapidly convert prospective customer interest into account specific sales plans to appropriate build a healthy pipeline
  • Develop and implement customer development penetration strategies within new and current customers, with National Director and Director of Clinical Specialty when appropriate, to obtain annual quota
  • Create compelling presentations to address client needs
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Masters of Public Health, Pharm D., or other equivalent Master's degree required
  • Laboratory or clinical pharmacy background preferred
  • Ability to travel both domestic and international; approximately 40% of the time
  • Proven product knowledge in laboratory, diagnostic, pharmaceutical, or a related research area
  • Valid driver's license
